ASHLAND, Ohio - The Malone University track & field team kicked off day one of the Jud Logan Light Giver Open with a new school record set by sophomore sprinter
Allea Graves. Graves took off nearly half a second to her previous 200-meter dash career-best at 25.08 seconds. Her time was good for eighth in the event.

The night was also highlighted by senior sprinter
Phil Stupka, who set a new personal best in the 200-meter dash at 21.78 seconds. He placed second overall and his time is now the second-best in school history. Junior distance specialist
Yahya Jawadi ran a third-place time of 15:08.70 in the 5000-meter run for an additional podium finish for the Pioneers.

The event continues on Saturday, February 7 for the second day of competition from Ashland University. The first events begin at 9:20 A.M.
