Track & Field Adds to Roster for 2026-27

CANTON, Ohio - Head Coach Zach Fresenko and the Malone University cross country and track & field programs have announced several additions to the program.
 
Ian Sarver is from Waynedale High School and competes in throws. He has a career-best throw of 54'1" in the shot put.
 
De'Andre Riley is from Cardinal Mooney High School and is a sprinter. He has a time of 22.21 seconds in the 200-meter dash and was a member of Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division IV State Championship 4x200-meter relay team.
 
Jason Garvin is an alum of Mogadore High School. He competes in Jump and has a 22'2" long jump and was All-Ohio in Division V in the event.
 
Nathan Phipps graduated from Faith Christian Academy and competes in throws. His career best in the javelin is a 164'4".
 
Mason Scott comes to Malone from Ravenna High School and competes in multi-events.  He has a best time of 39.03 in the 300-meter hurdles, 6'2" high jump, 21'7" long jump, and 50.69 400-meter dash time. Scott was All-Ohio in the 300-meter hurdles in OHSAA Division III.
 
Donell Hampton is a local product from GlenOak High School. He was the Federal League Champion in the shot put and has a career best throw of 50'7".
 
Jonah Jackson attended Coventry High School and competed in both sprints and jumps. He has a best time of 51.14 in the 400-meter dash and reached 5'10" in the high jump.
 
Logan Smith is from Archbishop Hoban High School and competes in the hurdles. His best 110-meter hurdle time is 15.77 seconds and his best mark in the 300-meter hurdles is 42.50 seconds.
 
Aaron Dick is a graduate of Massillon Jackson High School. He competes in throws and has a personal-best score of 131'1" in the discus.
 
Javon Isles joins the program from Massillon Jackson High School. He competes in hurdles and has a best time of 17.24 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and 44.66 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles.
 
Troy Pascley Jr. attended Massillon Washington High School and will compete in jumps for the Pioneers. He has a best score of 21'1" in the long jump.
 
Andrew Bugner is a transfer student from Wright State University and attended Medina High School prior to that. He is a distance runner who has best times of 14:55 in the 5000-meter and 9:49 in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
 
Hugo Hawkins transferred from the University of Mount Union and previously attended Rittman High School. He is a thrower who competed in the weight throw (44'0") and discus (144'4").
 
Adella Coblentz is from Uniontown Lake High School and competed in jumps for the Blue Streaks. Her best score is a 16'1" long jump.
 
Nevaeh Cartwright comes from GlenOak High School. She is a thrower who has best scores of 38'6" in the shot put and 112'5" in the discus.
 
Leah Mitchell will become a Pioneer after time at Mt. Calvary Christian School. She competed in both the shot put (34'5") and discus (98'8") in high school.
 
Brajhia Phillips comes to Malone from Lorain High School. She competed in throws events and has best scores of 37'9" in the shot put and 114'0" in the discus.
