INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the second time this season, Malone University women's basketball's Erin Kaufman has received Athlete of the Week honors from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
 
The senior center led Malone to victories at home against Ashland University (71-66) and Lake Erie College (60-45) to move to 21-5 on the year. Kaufman was celebrated as a Pioneer senior prior to the start of Saturday's game and averaged 23.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals on the week.
 
Kaufman, a native of Glandorf, Ohio, scored a career-high 33 points on 10-of-19 from the field to give the Malone women's basketball team their first win over Ashland at home since the 1986-87 season. She was 13-for-15 from the free throw line in that contest and was tied for the team lead with seven rebounds. Against Lake Erie, Kaufman totaled 13 points and six rebounds, but was credited with five steals to tie her career-high.
 
The final regular season home game for the Pioneers comes against Ohio Dominican University on Thursday, February 26. Tip-off is set for 5:30 P.M.
