CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of two new Assistant Athletic Trainers.
Briella Kent and
Zach McVicker have joined the athletic staff beginning in the 2025-26 school year.

Kent attended Baldwin Wallace University for her undergraduate degree in pre-athletic training and a minor in psychology and then went to Kent State University for her master's degree in athletic training. She has experience in clinicals at both the high school and college ranks as well as a variety of sports covered, including football, men's basketball and softball.

While attending Baldwin Wallace, Kent was the vice president of recruitment and chapter wellness of Alpha Gamma Delta and a member of the Collegiate Organization for Athletic Student Trainers. She took on a role as an administrative assistant at Synergy Physical Therapy and Wellness in 2021 and 2022 as well.

McVicker is a 2020 graduate of Walsh University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. He earned his master's degree in athletic training from Kent State University in 2022. McVicker has a wide range of athletic training experience in the high school setting.

He, his wife Samantha and daughter Aubrey reside in Dover, Ohio.
