Track & Field Roster Additions Unveiled

CANTON, Ohio – The Malone University men's and women's track & field program have announced the incoming class of student-athletes for the 2025-26 season.
 
Pioneer student-athletes who were announced with the cross country team that will also compete in track & field include Hayden Coughanour, Edward Devaney, Savannah Headley, Caden LaRue, Lex McMahon, Zavier Medina, Paige Slupski, Olivia Szmania and Bryant Thompson. Tesfaye Young is a late addition to both rosters as a transfer from the University of Toledo. His best times are 26:25 in the 8k and 15:25 in the 5k.
 
15 additional incoming student-athletes will compete in track & field exclusively. They are Isaac Efobi, Brandon Gross, Sarae Johnson, Danny Milburn, Sierra Ott, Isabelle Perry, Jordan Quinn, BJ Robinson, Isaac Smith, Kenneth Trotter, Nyla Watkins, Lindsay Whitmore, Jeremiah Wiley, Lo'Quan Young and Alyssa Zakham.
 
Efobi is from Massillon Perry High School and has personal best times of 11.43 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 22.63 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
 
Gross is a graduate of Brunswick High School and competed in jumps events. His best scores in high school are 5' 10" in the high jump and 38' 1" in the triple jump.
 
Johnson attended Canton McKinley High School and has a personal best time of 1:01.0 in the 400-meter run.
 
Milburn is a sprinter from United High School where he raced in the 100-meter (10.59 seconds), 200-meter (21.94 seconds) and 400-meter (50.75 seconds) events.
 
Ott will represent Malone in throws events and comes from Louisville High School. She has personal best socres of 84' 10" in the discus and 27' 8" in the shot put.
 
Perry attended the school of her namesake in Massillon Perry High School and competed in the shot put (41' 3") and discus (112' 7").
 
Quinn graduated from Brush High School and was a middle distance runner. His best times are 1:03.2 in the 400-neter run and 2:37.0 in the 800-meter run.
 
Robinson is from Firestone High School and has personal best times of 11.32 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 22.58 seconds in the 200-meter dash and 51.41 seconds in the 400-meter run.
 
Smith comes to Malone from Sandy Valley High School where he competed in throw events. He has career best scores of 40' 9" in the shot put and 144' 5" in the discus.
 
Trotter is from North Canton Hoover High School where he ran a best time of 53.98 seconds in the 400-meter run.
 
Watkins sprinted for Cuyahoga Falls High School and had personal best times of 13.14 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 27.66 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
 
Whitmore is a Cuyahoga Falls alum as well and she competed in the 400-meter run (1:03.7) and 800-meter run (2:23.5).
 
Wiley is a transfer student-athlete from Orange Coast College and Elsinore High School. He has personal best scores of 6' 6" in the high jump and 20' 11" in the long jump.
 
Young will join the Pioneers from Massillon Washington High School where he competed in the high jump (6' 4") and the 400-meter run (52.02 seconds).
 
Zakham is a graduate of North Canton Hoover High School. Her career bests are 15' 8" in the long jump and 17.95 seconds in the 100 hurdles.
