COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Malone University track & field program is bringing home hardware from the 2025 NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships after the men's program won their first national title since 2010 and their sixth in total. The women's team was third overall behind national champions Greenville University.

Noah Chaplik. Allea Graves was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Meet for her efforts in sprint events.
The Pioneer men added two individual NCCAA national champions in
Yahya Jawadi (9:21.97) in the 3000-meter steeplechase and
Xander Heil (3:54.63) in the 1500-meter run. Malone totaled bulk points in those events with
Wyatt Royster (9:52.56) fifth in the steeplechase and Jawadi (3:58.42),
Gabe Shilling (4:00.30),
Hayden Schmidt (4:01.68) and
Chase Balko (4:01.90) in spots two, four, five and six in the 1500.
Tyler Twining just missed the top of the podium in the 800-meter run with a second-place time of 1:52.71 – a mark good for fifth in program history. Heil (1:58.08) also recorded one point with an eighth-place in the event. The 5000-meter run also saw multiple scoring members including Schmidt (second – 15:04.35),
Alex Hill (fourth – 15:27.19),
Kellen Reichert (fifth – 15:33.02) and Balko (sixth – 15:55.22).
Gavin Tribelo scored a third-place finish in the shot put at 14.64 meters (48' 2.25"). The 4x400-meter relay team of Twining,
Brylan Holland,
Johnathan White and
Eric Dehmer capped off the team championship in the final event of the day. The team placed fifth, but received the necessary points to clinch the title with a time of 3:22.40.
The women's team had three individual national championship performances on Friday, led by Graves in the 200-meter and 400-meter events. Graves won both with times of 24.79 seconds and 55.63 seconds. She also scored points for the team with a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter dash (12.60 seconds).
Rylee Yocum secured the other national title in the 5000-meter run (18:06.12).
Kristin Yeager was third in the event as well (18:29.12). Those two were third (4:47.46) and eighth (4:57.12) in the 1500-meter run.
The 4x100-meter relay team consisting of
Amber Morris, Graves,
Abigail Blaz and
Macey Hicks were runners-up with a time of 48.51 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay team of
Brooklyn McIntyre,
Cara Pipitone,
Rebekah Stoneman and Graves was third overall at 4:02.82. Stoneman was also fifth in the 800-meter run (2:16.24) and Pipitone sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:08.97).
Additional scoring members for the Malone women included
Jenna Cassidy with a fourth-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase (11:44.03) and
Jaclyn Jundzilo, who finished eighth overall in the shot put (11.32 meters / 37' 1.50").
In total, 11 men and 17 women were NCCAA All-Americans with a top-three finish in any of the events over the course of the weekend.
