KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Malone University men's basketball team, under the direction of Head Coach
Charlie Wallrapp, received several postseason academic awards from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Malone received the NABC Team Excellence Award that is earned by programs at all levels of college basketball that achieved a 3.0 team grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale. Nearly 400 teams from across the nation were selected.
Along with the team efforts in the classroom, the Pioneers had five members of the 2024-25 squad announced as members of the NABC Honors Court. Those student-athletes are
Ryan Bartley,
Tre Baumgardner III,
Simon Blair,
Jake Bruns and
Tahleik Walker. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
