Jeff Hite has been inducted into the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
"It's a great honor to be inducted Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame," Coach Hite explained. "You don't get these kind of awards without having great players and coaches around you, so I would like to thank all of the players who have played for me and the coaches that have been beside me."
Hite has also been selected as a member of the Stark County Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame (2006), Ashland University Athletic Hall of Fame (2006), Tuscarawas County Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame (2018), and the North Canton Hoover High School Athletic Hall of Fame (2021).
He has accumulated over 600 career wins at different levels between his baseball and softball coaching experience. He combined for nine Federal League Coach of the Year awards, nine Federal League championships, six sectional championships and six district championships at North Canton Hoover High School, where he is also a two-time state champion with the softball program.
"What a wonderful and well-deserved honor for a coach who's legacy and success extends beyond the field of play," Malone University Director of Athletics
Tanya Hockman stated. "Well done, coach. We are so proud of you!"
