CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University men's and women's swimming and diving programs continued action at the 2025 Malone Invitational on Friday. Both the men's and women's teams are currently eighth on the team leaderboards. Gannon University has opened up leads for both genders heading into the final day.

Several team members entered or improved their times in the program's top ten lists. The women's 200-yard medley relay team of
Ashtyn Rickel,
Ann-Katherine Burns,
Lauryn Ebersole and
Elizabeth Lane combined for a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:52.61, good for 5th all-time.

Rickel (400-yard individual medley) and Burns (100-yard breaststroke) also set new personal best marks in their individual events. Rickel was third at the meet with a time of 4:52.24 and Burns tenth at 1:09.95, both of which are now sixth in program history. On the men's side,
Landon Sutter's time of 54.51 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke (11th overall) is good for seventh in program history.

Seth McMillen and
Elisha Thompkins reached the A-finals in their events to improve the men's scoring significantly. McMillen held seventh-place with a time of 1:00.63 in the event finals of the 100-yard breaststroke while Thompkins went 1:47.58 in the 200-yard freestyle for an eighth-place finish.
Lincoln Rickleff was in the B-finals of the 400-yard individual medley after he touched the edge in 4:35.41.

The trio of
Danielle Ketler, Ebersole and Lane were in C-finals for the Pioneers. Ketler won the C-final of the 200-yard freestyle at 2:03.04. Ebersole placed 18th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.92) and Lane was 19th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.40).

The final day of the Malone Invitational takes place on Saturday, November 22 beginning at 10:00 A.M.
