WOOSTER, Ohio - The Malone University swimming & diving programs challenged The College of Wooster on Saturday on the second day of a back-to-back in duel meets. The Pioneers fell in both the men's (177-53) and women's (140-67) team results.

The Malone women's team had three individual champions in the event.
Ashtyn Rickel finished first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:20.00, good for eighth in program history.
Danielle Ketler (11:32.78) and
Lauryn Ebersole (59.09 seconds) also topped the leaderboard in their events, the 1000-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.

Each of those three student-athletes also had a second-place finish. For Rickel, it was in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.64. Ketler was runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:42.25 and Ebersole just missed the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.13 seconds.
Ann-Katherine Burns was second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:38.98) and third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:27.13) to wrap up podium finishes for the women.

Seth McMillen helped lead the Pioneer men with two runner-up finishes. He was second in the 100-yard freestyle (51.87 seconds) and 50-yard freestyle (23.35 seconds).
Landon Sutter did the same in the 200-yard backstroke (2:11.14) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.27).
Brady Porter was credited with a second-place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:29.83 and
Leander Stuart was third in the 1000-yard freestyle at 11:24.73.

In relay events, the team of Rickel, Burns, Ebersole and
Avery Young finished second in the 400-yard medley relay (4:23.12) while the men's team of Sutter, McMillen,
Elisha Thompkins and
Dylan Yoder were runners-up as well in the same event (3:52.46). The 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Ketler,
Aleah Daugherty,
Kassidy Cannon and
Alina Cotlet were third at 4:24.82.

Malone will be at home for the first time in the 2025-26 season for their next meet, a duel versus Bluffton University. That event will take place on Friday, November 7 at 6:00 P.M.
