CANTON, Ohio – The Malone University baseball team has released their 2025 season schedule. Head Coach
Tom Crank is beginning his 22nd season at the helm of the program. The Pioneers held a 9-39 record in the 2024 campaign.
The year begins with a four-game set at West Virginia State University on February 21-22. Malone will then host doubleheaders against West Liberty University on February 28 and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown on March 2.
Those will be the only regular season contests before heading south to Florida for the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational on March 6-11. While in the Sunshine State, the Pioneers will face West Virginia Wesleyan College (March 6), Roosevelt University (March 7), Grand Valley State University (March 7), Wayne State University (March 8), Bloomfield College (March 10) and the University of Minnesota Duluth (March 11).
Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) action begins with a four-game series versus Hillsdale College at home on March 15-16. The following weekend, the Pioneers play host to Northwood University at Thurman Munson Stadium on March 22-23.
The team hits the road for nine straight after that, including series against the University of Findlay (March 28-29) and Kentucky Wesleyan College (April 4-5) as well as a single non-conference game at Lake Erie College (April 1). The Pioneers will face West Virginia State once more on April 8 and Cedarville University will come to Canton on April 11-12 for a four-game conference set.
Rival Walsh University will be at home for a four games against the Pioneers on April 16 (doubleheader) and April 22 (doubleheader). A single game at home comes on April 23 against the Tiffin University Dragons, and then back on the road at Ohio Dominican University for four on April 25-26.
Malone will celebrate its senior class during the series against Thomas More University to close the regular season on May 2-3. Post-season play begins at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio on May 7 should the team qualify.
