COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Malone University women's golf team took the course at the Champions of Women's Golf Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University on Monday afternoon. The Pioneers completed the round at 326 and are tenth on the leaderboard. Tiffin University leads all teams with a 302 in the first round.
 
Maria Warner is tied for 13th and fired a 77 in her round. She had five consecutive pars to conclude the front nine and birdied the par-4 11th hole. Erin Strouse and Savanna Porter both shot an 82 on the day with Strouse securing a birdie on the par-4 4th hole.
 
Addison Burris (85) and Jayden Mitchell (90) also competed for the Pioneers. Burris birdied the par-4 8th hole.
 
The two-day tournament continues on Tuesday, September 17 at 9:00 A.M.
