NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Malone University women's golf team was in action for the first time in the 2024-25 season with the red team at the Westminster Fall Invitational. The Pioneers placed sixth out of nine teams in the field, with the host Titans victorious as a team.
Malone had a team score of 381, led by
Madison Wright with an 85 (tied for 17th).
Kaylyn Henson tied for 20th at 93 and had a birdie on the par-5 15th hole.
Abbigail Jones had the team's other birdie en route to a score of 95 (26th).
The final two scoring team members were
Kassidy Glover at 101 and
Mackenze Baker at 104. Competing as an individual,
Jayne Bernard fired an 88 with three consecutive birdies on holes 11-13 and
Emily Stanford carded a 103.
The Malone blue team competes on September 16-17 at the Champions of Women's Golf Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University.
