Canton, Ohio -- The Malone University men's golf team competed in the Cav Classic hosted by Walsh University at the Glenmoor Country Club on Tuesday. 

The Pioneers competed in the event with both an 'A' and a 'B' team. 

Malone's 'A team' finished the 36-hole event with a team score of 601 placing third. The 'B team' was in sixth place with their total of 616.

Gunnar McCollins finished the tournament with a third place finish of -1 (143). Jake Shingledecker also finished inside the top 10 (T10th) with an overall score of +6 (150)
