Ashland, OH-- The Malone University baseball team had high hopes of concluding the series with a pair of victories against No. 11 ranked Ashland. However, the outcomes proved disappointing for the Pioneers as they were defeated in both games.

Malone responded in the top of the fourth when
Zach Flohr laced a double scoring
JC Philippi. In a pivotal moment of the inning,
Charlie Roberts delivered a clutch single, driving in a run to narrow the deficit to just 4-2. This timely hit injected a surge of confidence into the Pioneers, fueling their determination to rally back.
In the end, the Eagles pitching held firm, allowing them to score three more runs and seal a 7-2 victory in game one.
Game Two
Ayden Hall took the mound for the Pioneers in game two against Ashland, showcasing a strong start by keeping the opposing team scoreless through the first two innings.
