Ashland, OH-- The Malone University baseball team traveled to Ashland to face the 11th ranked Eagles. Although Malone briefly held a 3-1 lead in game one, the Eagles rallied back for the commanding win. They also secured the victory in game two.

Game One
The Eagles struck first with a run in the bottom of the first when Malone committed a two-out error. The Pioneers, however, came back with a three-spot in the top of the second to take a 3-1 lead.
Jake Aleman launched a two-run homer, while
Charlie Roberts executed a perfect RBI bunt to add the third run.
Malone Pitcher
Jackson Phelps held anchored down continuing to keep the Eagle hitters off balance. Ashland then leveled the score in the bottom of the fifth inning before seizing the lead in the sixth. They plated five runs to take an 8-3 lead. The Eagles continued their offensive momentum over the next two innings, ultimately clinching an 11-3 victory in game one.
Game Two
Ashland jumped on Malone early scoring 11 runs between the first two innings. In the top of the third, the Pioneers broke through when
JC Philippi doubled, scoring
Devin Brown.
Later in the fifth,
Devin Brown singled bringing in a run. The Pioneers added another that same inning to cut into the deficit.
Gino Lazzari plated an RBI in the seventh, but Malone couldn't catch up, losing 12-4 in game two.

- Jake Aleman collected two hits, including a home run, and drove in two RBIs while scoring one run in game one.
- Devin Brown contributed 3 total hits between both games. He also drove in a run and scored a run.
- Anthony Ryan collected 2 hits in game one
