THE GAME
Looking to bounce back, the Pioneers started off quickly as Eli Ciotti rifled in a shot on a feed from Zac Smargiasso to put them up 1-0. Davenport answered back ferociously as they let off four unanswered goals. Talon Heath stopped the bleeding with his conference leading 16th goal. However, the Panthers struck again to close the 1st quarter with a 5-2 lead.

Davenport picked up where they left off in the 2nd as they stretched their lead out to 10-2 midway through the quarter. While John Mautz III was able to get the Pioneers on the board in the quarter, the Panthers took an 11-3 lead into the locker room.

Looking for a spark out of the half, Smargiasso started the 3rd quarter off with a bang. The Panthers then let off yet another scoring run, firing home three more. Heath was able to muster two more Pioneer goals, yet they still trailed 15-6 through 3.

The Panthers continued the offensive onslaught as they scored three more unanswered goals to begin the 4th quarter. The Pioneers weren't going away quietly as Luke Ory, Ciotti, Mautz III, and Heath all scored again. The effort was not enough as they ultimately fell 19-10.
