TIFFIN, Ohio.— The Malone University women's basketball team (16-11, 12-9 G-MAC) clinched a G-MAC tournament berth with a 62-44 win over Tiffin University (4-24, 2-28 G-MAC) on Thursday evening, February 29.
The Pioneers came out strong from the opening tip-off and dominated throughout the game. The guests jumped out to a 19-10 lead after the first quarter and built their lead even more n the second quarter. Going into the break, Malone held a 38-18 lead. In the second half, the Pioneers managed the game well and saw out the win to earn their place in the G-MAC tournament.

The Pioneers were led by Brinn Hunt's 12 points and eight rebounds. She also had two steals and two assists.
Brooklyn Troyer had 12 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and two steals on the evening.
Kyli Horn added 11 points.
Aila Miller chipped in 10 points off the bench.
Nataley Armstrong had eight points, four rebounds, and three steals in the win.
What's Next
The Pioneers will close out their regular season with a trip to Midland, Michigan on Saturday, March 2 to face off with Northwood University. Their clash with the Timberwolves is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
