CANTON, Ohio – The Malone University volleyball team returned home to Osborne Hall after nearly a month hiatus, but fell short to Cedarville University by a score of 3-0. The Pioneers are now 5-21 overall and 2-11 inside the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). Cedarville moves to 12-8 and 8-3 in the conference.
A dominant set one for the Yellow Jackets set the table for their positive evening. Cedarville accumulated 19 kills on a .447 hitting percentage in a 25-14 victory. Senior
Grace Rosko led the way with four kills.
The second set was much more competitive, but it was the Yellow Jackets that snuck away with a 25-22 win. Freshman
Marissa Smith had a pair of aces in the midst of a 7-2 scoring run to begin the period for Malone. Cedarville chipped away at the deficit, but it was Smith once again that tied the set at 22 apiece. From there, the Yellow Jackets netted the final three points in the set.

Macy McCauley helped fuel the Pioneers to a 14-12 lead in set three, but a massive 11-1 scoring run for Cedarville propelled the team to a 25-16 win to claim both the set and the match.

Emma Weirich had eight kills each to pace the home squad. Smith had three of the team's eight aces. Junior
Mallory Meinen distributed ten total assists. McCauley was the team leader defensively with 15 digs.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, November 9 for Senior Day versus Ohio Dominican University. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 P.M.
