WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio – The Malone University women's golf red team competed at the JCU Fall Invitational on Saturday and through 18 of 36 holes, the Pioneers are eighth. The team had a score of 350. Ashland University is atop the leaderboard at 321 at the conclusion of play Saturday.
Malone was led by
Kaylyn Henson with a score of 84. The freshman hit for her first career eagle on the par-4 second hole after sinking an approach shot from about 84 yards out. She would hit for birdie on the fourth and fifth holes on the course as well.
Kassidy Glover was one stroke back of Hensen with an 85. She had a birdie on the 16th hole.
Jayne Bernard (88) and
Abbigail Jones (93) wrapped up the four scoring members and
Abrielle Nikolaidis (97) was the final member of the team.
Madison Wright (98) and
Emily Stanford (109) were individual competitors for Malone.
The Pioneers are back at Manakiki Golf Course on Sunday, October 6.
