Malone Blows Out Northwood

Canton, OH-- The Malone Men's Basketball team (10-10,3-9 G-MAC) got a much need win inside the G-MAC by beating visiting Northwood (4-14,1-9 G-MAC ) 92-60.

The Pioneers were off and running as they jumped out to one of their best starts off the year. Fraser LaRoque scored the first four points of the game to even the score at 4-4. For about the first seven minutes of the game, both teams were answering each others buckets.

However, the Timberwolves three-point shooting struggled at 18.18%, limiting their ability to capitalize on outside opportunities. Despite maintaining a close score, Northwood's offense faced pressure from Malone's defense. Caleb Conard buried a three to give Malone a 51-38 lead at halftime.

Aaron Badibo has had a nice two games after missing some time off. He was an efficient 6-10 from the field. In the second half, Northwood's shooting efficiency dropped significantly to 26.47% from the field and 0% from beyond the arc. They struggled to find offensive momentum, allowing Malone to pull ahead and secure a commanding lead.

Malone capitalized on Northwood's offensive woes, dominating the paint with 52 points and capitalizing on fast break opportunities. Despite a resilient effort, the Timberwolves couldn't overcome the deficit, ultimately falling to Malone with a final score of 60-92.
