CEDARVILLE, Ohio. -- The Malone University women's basketball team (11-7, 7-3 G-MAC) defeated Cedarville University (5-11, 3-6 G-MAC) by a score of 73-61 on Wednesday evening, January 25. 

The Pioneers made it two wins in a row on Wednesday night after a solid performance against Cedarville. Malone shot 54.54% from the field in the first half and led the Yellow Jackets 31-22 at the break. The guests kept their foot on the gas as they outscored Cedarville 22-12 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 19 heading into the fourth quarter. The hosts put up 27 points in the fourth quarter compared to the Pioneers' 20 but it was Malone who walked away with the 73-61 victory. 


Inside the Box Score

Erin Kaufman paced the Pioneers with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds while adding five steals on the game.

Brooklyn Troyer returned from injury to post 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Aila Miller had a strong game off the bench as she scored 13 points.

Anna Krupa added 12 points on the evening.

Kyli Horn chipped in with 11 points.


What's Next

The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, January 27 as they host Northwood University at 1:00 p.m. in Osborne Hall.
