Canton, OH-- The Malone University men's basketball team welcomed visiting G-MAC opponent Findlay to Osborne Hall on Saturday. The Pioneers struggled to score throughout the game, and Findlay walked away with a low scoring 64-48 victory.
Malone started the game on fire as
Simon Blair connected on two three pointers to help give the Pioneers an early 9-2 lead. The lead was still in favor of the home team for a short time but that's when things changed. The Oilers went on a 24-3 run, but then Malone answered with their own 9-0 run to help close the gap heading into halftime only trailing the Oilers 30-24.
In the second half, the Oiler defense remained stingy.
Biggz Johnson and
Simon Blair combined for 40 points, while the rest of the team scored only 8 points. The Pioneer defense played aggressively, but unfortunately the offense just couldn't quite find their rhythm consistently in today's game. Findlay earned a big conference win 64-48.
