Nashville--  The Malone University volleyball closed out the weekend with a road G-MAC contest at Trevecca Nazarene University.

The Pioneers dropped all three sets in the loss to the Trojans.

HIGHLIGHTS
Set One: The first set was a tightly contested match. Trevecca jumped out to an early lead, but Malone was up for the challenge. 

The Pioneers fought and clawed throughout the course of the set. A Kill by Brianne Salinas tied up the game at 23 and then Malone took the lead off of an attack error by the Trojans. Unfortunately Trevecca battled back to take set one. 

Set Two:  Set two saw the Pioneers take an early lead. Trevecca Nazarene eventually took the lead and never looked back. They took set two by a final score of 25-12

Set Three:  With Malone being down 2-0, the Pioneers were looking to turn the ship in the right direction. A strong start to the set saw Malone with an opportunity to get a win.

They saw themselves up 24-20 and it was looking good. Trevecca went on an impressive 5-0 run to take the lead and eventually took the third set in a thriller by a score of 27-25!

DETAILS
For the second straight match Grace Rosko led the team in kills. She had 8.

Gabby Rodriguez had 6 kills for Malone respectively.

Mallory Meinen led the Pioneers with 18 assists. 

WHAT'S NEXT
Malone will come back home for a conference matchup against Northwood this Thursday.
