The Game
It was a Wednesday night showdown between the cross town rivals where the Pioneers traveled to North Canton to take on the Cavaliers. The game started off with high intensity as each side was eager to come away with the 3 points. However, the game was stuck at a stalemate as Owen Griffin made two great saves on the few chances either side had by the halftime break . Coming out of the break, the Cavaliers made some adjustments and found their way through the Malone back line to break the deadlock just minutes into the second half as Dominic O'Conner hit the netting. After a continued spell of Cavalier pressure, they were able to find the back of the net twice within minutes of each other leaving it 3-0 through 64 minutes. From there they didn't let up defensively, ultimately blanking the Pioneers 3-0 on their home turf to come away with the win over their rivals.
