NORTH CANTON, Ohio. — The Malone University women's soccer team dropped a road contest against their cross-town rival Walsh on Wednesday evening, September 20, as the Pioneers lost 5-0.

The Game
The Cavaliers came flying out of the gate in the battle of Canton. Walsh opened the scoring just five minutes into the game when Kailey Hobart sliced through the Pioneer defense and fired the ball into the back of the net.
Malone began to pick things up, putting pressure on the hosts. However, as they were knocking on the door, Walsh countered and doubled their lead through Hannah Stein.
Midway through the second half, the Cavaliers broke through once again adding an insurance goal to make it 3-0 at the interval. Walsh scored twice more in the final 15 minutes to secure a commanding 5-0 victory.

Malone will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, September 23 when they travel to play Ursuline College at 1:00 p.m.
