NORMAN, Okla. -- On Tuesday morning, the NCAA Division II PING All-American teams were announced by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America).
For Malone University,
Connor Curry was named a NCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American.
For the Pioneers, Curry becomes the first All-American in the sport of men's golf since Jake Troyer in 2016.
This honor caps off Curry's highly decorated career that included a second consecutive 2023 NCAA Division II Central / Midwest Super Regional berth this spring. He was also named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, and earned a spot on the Great Midwest All Conference: First Team.
This year Curry finished top four in every single event the Pioneers played in. He was first, or tied for first, seven different times.
In late October Curry also helped lead the Pioneers to the program's
fifth NCCAA National Championship.
Earlier this month Curry was named to the NCAA Division II PING All-Midwest Region Team.
