Softball Swept by Findlay in Monday's Doubleheader

CANTON – the Malone University softball team welcomed the University of Findlay Oilers to Pioneer Field on Monday for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) doubleheader.

Findlay won both games via the run rule. The Oilers took game one by a final score of 9-0, and followed that up with a 13-0 win in the second game.

DETAILS
  • Halyn Cawthorne's walk in the bottom of the first inning was Malone's lone base runner in the first game.
  • Hannah Offenberger's base hit in the bottom of the second inning in game two was Malone's lone hit on the afternoon.
  • Elizabeth Dyke struck out a pair of batters in game one. That pushes her season total up to an even 30 punchouts.

WHAT'S NEXT
Tomorrow's doubleheader with Lourdes University has been canceled. 

Malone will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Northwood University. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
