COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Malone University softball team traveled to Columbus for a doubleheader against Ohio Dominican University in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) action.
The Pioneers were swept by the Panthers in both games by identical scores of 9-1.

GAME ONE
Madi Pukansky got the game started with a single and Taylor Kern was able to move her over to third with a double to left center field. Pukansky was able to score on Karlie Duvall's sacrifice fly.
The Pioneers were able to get a few more runners on base in game one but were unable to stop the Panthers as they scored their nine runs.
GAME TWO
Game two saw the Pioneers struggle in the beginning, but they were able to get runners in scoring position in the top of the third. Unfortunately they were left stranded on an inning ending double-play.
Kern was able to get on base in the top of the sixth, and was able to come home when Elizabeth Dyke had a sacrifice fly.

The Pioneers return home on Saturday April 15th for a doubleheader against Lake Erie College. First pitch of the doubleheader at Pioneer Softball Field are scheduled for 1pm and 3pm.
