CANTON, Ohio. — The Malone University volleyball team (5-21, 3-11 G-MAC) swept Ursuline College (1-25, 1-13 G-MAC) three sets to none on Saturday afternoon, October 28 in Osborne Hall.
Coming off an exciting come-from-behind win on Friday's senior night, the Pioneers kept the momentum going as they rolled over Ursuline. Malone won the first set 25-17 before winning the last two sets 25-16 and 25-18, respectively.
With nine assists on the afternoon, Junior setter
Gabby Pelfrey reached 1,000 career assists. She is now ninth all-time in assists for Malone.
Inside the Box Score
Gabby Rodriguez led the Pioneers with nine kills and 11 digs.
Mallory Meinen had 14 assists and six digs.
Annika Nichols added six kills, while
Grace Rosko chipped in with five kills.
Brianne Salinas was a stalwart at the net, totaling four blocks on the day.
Macy McCauley was strong defensively as she had 14 digs.
What's Next
The Pioneers will travel to Hillsdale College on Friday, November 3 to face off with (RV) Hillsdale College. The match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
