TIFFIN, Ohio -- On Friday night, the Malone University volleyball team played their fourth consecutive road match.

The Pioneers capped off the recent Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) road swing with a match at Tiffin University. 

Unfortunately the Dragons were able to come away with the 3-1 win to drop the Pioneers below .500 in the conference.

THE MATCH
Set One
In a back-and-forth-set that saw both teams score 15+ kills, the Dragons scored the final three points of the set unanswered to pick up the 25-22 win. 

Set Two
The Pioneers looked poised to even up the match as Malone held a 23-21 lead late in the set. 

Unfortunately the Dragons rattled off four unanswered points to grab a 25-23 win, and move ahead 2-0 in the match.

Set Three
Malone did rally back in the third set. 

A kill from Ri'Gyn Humes broke a 16-16 tie to put the Pioneers up. MU's defense limited Tiffin to just three points the rest of the way which allowed the offense to close out the 25-19 win. 

Set Four
Unfortunately the Pioneers struggled in set four. Tiffin put down 16 kills compared to just nine from Malone.

The Dragons led by as many as ten points in the set before ultimately settling for the 25-18 win that closed out the 3-1 match victory.

DETAILS
Ri'Gyn Humes notched double-digit kills for the third time this season to lead Malone's offense. 

Molly Bullion and Gabby Pelfrey combined for 39 assists with Bullion posting a team-high 23. 

Macy McCauley added 23 digs to her team-leading total of 301 this season.

WHAT'S NEXT
Malone will be back at home tomorrow afternoon for a non-conference match against the Wheeling University Cardinals.

First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
