CANTON -- After playing four consecutive matches on the road, the Malone University volleyball team was back at home on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup with Wheeling University.
Unfortunately the Cardinals were able to leave Osborne Hall with a 3-0 sweep of the Pioneers.

HIGHLIGHTS
Wheeling's offensive attack totaled 55 kills, and made just five errors all afternoon long to help lift the Cardinals to the win.
The Pioneers were able to top double-digit kills in every single set, but Wheeling's block proved to be a critical difference in the match. The Cardinals scored 9 total blocks compared to just 1 for Malone.

CC Gurney topped double-digit kills for the third time in the last four matches to lead Malone's offense. She finished the afternoon with 13 total kills, and is now tied with
Ri'Gyn Humes for the team-lead with 124 on the year.
WHAT'S NEXT
Malone jumps back into Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play next weekend by hosting Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan.
Friday's match against Trevecca will be the Pioneers' Breast Cancer Awareness Game. All fans are encouraged to participate in a 'pink out' of Osborne Hall.
First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
