CANTON -- Friday night, the Malone University volleyball team held their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Match. The Pioneers welcomed Trevecca Nazarene University to Osborne Hall for a Great Midwest Athletic Conferece (G-MAC) contest. 
After the Trojans took the opening two sets, the Pioneers fought hard to make a comeback. Unfortunately it came up short, and TNU held on for the 3-1 win.

HIGHLIGHTS
Despite the Pioneers totaling 16 kills to Trevecca's 15 in the opening set, it was the visiting Trojans who came away with the 25-22 set one win. 
That momentum helped propel TNU to a 25-15 win in the second set. 
With their backs against the wall the Pioneers fought back in set three. Malone held Trevecca to a .051 hitting percentage, and easily came away with a 25-15 win of their own. 
Unfortunately the Trojans rallied back for a 25-19 win in the fourth set to close out the 3-1 win. 
DETAILS
Anna Mallette led Malone with 10 kills, while 
Ri'Gyn Humes added 9 and 
Kristen Hankins finished with 8. 
Malone's defense came away with eight total blocks, six of those were credited to Humes. 
WHAT'S NEXT
Malone will close out the weekend at home tomorrow afternoon with a match against Kentucky Wesleyan College. 
First-serve is slated for 1:00 p.m.
