SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 93rd meeting all-time between these two schools. Malone holds a commanding 66-26 lead in the overall series.
The Pioneers won the earlier matchup this season in Columbus.

Overall Malone has won the last five meetings in a row.

- The Pioneers enter Saturday's season finale on a three-game losing streak. You have to go all the way back to the start of the 2020-21 campaign to find a similar slide for Malone. The Pioneers started that year 0-4 overall, before responding and going on a run that included the program's first G-MAC title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
- A look at the updated G-MAC Standings shows Malone in fourth-place overall. The third and fourth place teams will each host quarterfinal games in next week's Great Midwest Men's Basketball Championship Tournament.
- Bo Myers led the Pioneers with 19 points in last night's loss to Cedarville. Overall on the season he is averaging 16.6 points per game, second on the team only to Bryce Butler's 17.5 points per game. Myers ranks fourth in the G-MAC in scoring. Butler ranks third.
- Against the Yellow Jackets, Marcus Ernst secured his third straight double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. He has pulled down an even 50 rebounds over the past three games. He is now the G-MAC's leading rebounder at 10.5 boards per game.

- The Panthers are coming off of a 77-64 loss at home to Walsh on Thursday night. Overall, ODU has dropped their last four games in a row.
- In ODU's loss to Malone earlier this season, sophomore Zach Szul led Ohio Dominican with 14 points on 6-12 shooting from the field. He is the team's second-leading scorer this year averaging 13.3 points per game.
- Junior Alek West is the Panther's leading scorer at 15.6 points per game. That number is sixth-best in the G-MAC. He leads the conference with 140 total assists this year.
- ODU ranks near the bottom of the league as a team offensively, scoring just 64.7 points per outing. Their defense is allowing opponents to score an average of 72.6 points per game.
- The Panthers are under the direction of head coach Kelly Winter. Winter is in his third season as head coach, and eighth overall with the Panther basketball program.
UP NEXT
The Pioneers have already secured a spot in next week's 2022 Great Midwest Men's Basketball Championship, but will await the release of the bracket later this weekend before knowing who their first-round opponent will be.
The tournament will get under way with the quarterfinal round on Tuesday, March 1 when the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will host the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds in quarterfinal games played at the higher seeds.
The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds receive first-round byes into the semifinals. Walsh University has already secured the No. 1 seed in the tournament, and will serve as the host of both semifinal games (Thursday, March 3) and the conference championship game (Saturday, March 5).
