COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Malone University women's golf team competed in the Champions of Women's Golf Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican University over the weekend.

The Pioneers were able to overcome some early adversity to finish in fourth place out of ten teams, with a two-day team score of 660.

Malone was down to just four scoring players early on after they lost standout junior Jocelyn Troyer, who had to withdraw during the first round due to injury.

The tournament was won by Tiffin University. The Dragons fired a team score of 608.

Christina Williams scored her first top-five finish of the season. Her two-day total of 156 was fifth-best overall, and earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
