Pioneers Drop Last Non-Conference Matchup

Kenosha, Wisc. -- On Saturday, the Malone University men's soccer team traveled to Wisconsin to face off against the University of Wisconsin - Parkside for another non-conference match. 

The Rangers (3-0-1), scored early and often while keeping the pressure on in the second half to finish with a 5-0 victory versus the Malone Pioneers (0-4-0).

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Rangers came out of the gate strong, scoring three goals in the opening 20 minutes.

Malone stepped up their defense, and were able to get a couple shots off on the offensive end to shut out the Rangers for the rest of the half.  

Parkside held a 3-0 advantage at the halftime break. 

Upon the opening minute of the second half, the Rangers struck again, and kept momentum throughout the remainder of the contest. Parkside scored again in the 59th minute to push the final score out to 5-0 in favor of the home team.

  • Malone was out-shot by Wisconsin - Parkside 16-4, 10-1 on target. 
  • Malone had 5 saves compared to the Rangers 1.   

WHAT'S NEXT?
Malone comes back home next week for their G-MAC opener against cross town rival Walsh. Thursday's kick off will be at 7:00 p.m.
