MALONE-TIFFIN SOCCER SERIES
This afternoon's match will be the 20th meeting all-time between Tiffin and Malone on the pitch. The Dragons have dominated the all-time series. Tiffin holds a 12-3-4 advantage all-time.

The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in the most recent meeting, a regular season match in November of 2019.

The last Pioneer victory came in November of 2014, a 2-1 win at home.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PIONEERS

  1. After the dust settled over the weekend Malone currently sits tied with the third-most points in the G-MAC standings. Walsh is all alone up top with 12 points. Ohio Dominican and Trevecca Nazarene are tied with 11, while Malone, Findlay, Cedarville and Ohio Valley are tied with 10 points. Eight teams will qualify for the 2020-21 Great Midwest Women's Soccer Championships, and the top four seeds will host quarterfinal matches.
  2. Madeline Ault's game-winning goal in the 85th minute against OVU was her team-leading fourth of the season. That also ties her for the top spot in the conference.

  3. Anna Schmeltzer scored the other Malone goal against Ohio Valley. It was her first of the season. That makes seven different players who have contributed to Malone's 11 goals this year. The Pioneers continue to lead the G-MAC in goals scored.

  4. Malone's defense ranks fifth in the conference. Opponents have a 1.43 scoring average against the Pioneers. Jessica Morgan has made 22 total saves in the five matches she has played.
  5. Keeley Malley continues to lead the G-MAC in shots on goal by a significant margin. 19 of her 25 shots this season have been on target. No one else is the conference has more than 14 shots on goal.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
Tiffin enters play off of a huge 2-1 upset win against Walsh on Thursday. The Dragons were outshot 16-14, but after taking a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute were able to hold off the Cavaliers the rest of the way for the win.

The Dragons are currently listed in eighth place in the G-MAC standings. The win over Walsh, plus a win over Ursuline, and a tie against OVU give them seven G-MAC points.

Tiffin's offense has only scored three goals this season, all coming from different players.

Defensively both Nahomi Lopez and Marrissa Nugent have spent time in goal for the Dragons. Tiffin is allowing opponents to score an average of 1.60 goals per match.
