INDIANAPOLIS, Ind -- On Monday the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced that Jessica Morgan has been named the Defensive Player of the Week for April 19-25. 

Morgan anchored a defensive backline for the Pioneers that held the No. 2 seed Ohio Dominican University scoreless in Saturday's quarterfinal match of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. 

Morgan made nine total saves in the ninety minutes of regulation and the two ten minute periods of extra time. Then, in the penalty kick shootout with the Pioneers leading 5-4, Morgan stepped up and saved the attempt from ODU's Alex Garver to send Malone on to the semifinal match.

The No. 7 seed Pioneers will now take on the No. 3 seed Cedarville University Yellow Jackets. Thursday's semifinal match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Ohio Dominican University.
