MALONE PIONEERS TEAM NOTES:
Schedule | Roster | Statistics

The Pioneers picked up a 2-0 win on Thursday, their first of the spring season. Picking up points against one of the G-MAC's top teams would be a statement to the rest of the conference that Malone is looking to make a postseason run.

Patrick Alvarez and Kabanu Witherspoon netted goals for the Pioneers in the senior day victory. It was the first goal of the season for both Pioneer players.

The defensive unit of Joseph Arciniegas, Ryan Dean, Oriol Roset and Dylan Metz contributed to the shutout of the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans last week. They were excellent at preventing looks inside. Although Trevecca Nazarene outshot Malone in the game, most of them came from outside the box.

Nick Wilhelm secured the win in goal for the Pioneers, but briefly left the match in the first half with an injury. Witherspoon stepped in and made three saves to keep the zero in the Trojan scoring column, and Wilhelm returned in the second half to close the deal.

#13 OHIO VALLEY FIGHTING SCOTS TEAM NOTES:
Schedule | Roster | Statistics

With a 5-0-0 record, the Fighting Scots are the only G-MAC team to accumulate three points in every match they have competed in this season. Ohio Valley climbed as high as ninth in the national poll.

In their most recent match, Juan Hoyos recorded a hat trick in a 4-1 victory over the University of Findlay. The Fighting Scots outshot the Oilers 21-6 in the match and have put up 52 shots in the last three, while opponents have shot just 20 times.

Hoyos is second in the conference with five total goals scored and 11 points. Hoyos was named Second Team All-Conference in 2019. Luiz Neto has two game-winning goals this season, including the 1-0 victory over Lake Erie, one of the frontrunners in the G-MAC.

Santiago Rojas is Ohio Valley's starting keeper. Rojas is 5-0 in net and has 16 saves on the year.
