TIFFIN, Ohio – The Malone University men's soccer team dropped a Thursday match at Tiffin University 4-0. The Dragons netted all four goals in the first half of play.
The Pioneers fall to 0-5-0 on the season, with all five matches against Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) opponents. The Tiffin Dragons pick up their second win of the season and are 2-2-0 overall and in league play.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
Tiffin put a pair of shots in the back of the net in the 13th and 16th minutes to jump out to a 2-0 lead.
Nick Wilhelm made two first half saves on 13 shots, but not before the Dragons converted opportunities in the 38th and 41st minutes.
Wilhelm recorded back-to-back saves on shots in the 55th and 56th minutes, and another one in the 62nd minute.
In the 88th minute,
Justin Betts attempted the lone shot of the day for the Pioneers, but it was saved in the top left corner by the Tiffin keeper.

- Malone fought hard, but was outshot 23-1 in the match.
- Justin Betts has recorded shots in back-to-back games, with this his first shot on goal in the season.
