MEN'S SOCCER SERIES HISTORY:
Malone is 19-43-4 all-time against Walsh in men's soccer. The Pioneers and Cavaliers ended in a tie in both regular season meetings in 2019. A goal by Nathan McFeaters was enough in a 1-1 draw at home, and it was scoreless after 110 minutes in the final Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) regular season game at Walsh. Malone swept Walsh in the 2018 G-MAC slate and the last win for the Cavaliers in the series was in 2017.

MALONE PIONEERS TEAM NOTES:
Schedule | Roster | Statistics

The Pioneers have dropped their first two matches of the season at Findlay and versus Lake Erie. Malone is still looking for their first goal of the year and the first win under head coach Brock Kertoy. There is no better time to turn around momentum than against the rival Walsh Cavaliers.

Offensively, Antoine Leheron has taken six of the team's 11 shots, three of which were on goal. Nathan McFeaters has also been a potential scoring option off the bench, he has one shot in 99 minutes.

From the midfield, freshman Colton Fry made some impressive passes to the front line and took a shot in the team's most recent game against Lake Erie.

The defensive unit of Patrick Alvarez, Oriol Roset, Justin Betts and Joseph Arciniegas had struggles against the ranked Storm of Lake Erie, but held the Findlay Oilers to just one goal in the season opener. In net, Nick Wilhelm has made 14 total saves.

WALSH CAVALIERS TEAM NOTES:
Schedule | Roster | Statistics

Walsh won their non-conference tune-up game versus Hiram College 4-0, but lost their G-MAC opener against Cedarville 2-1. On Wednesday, the Cavaliers drew a 2-2 tie with non-conference foe, Case Western Reserve. The Cavaliers were selected to finish sixth in the preseason coaches' poll.

A pair of freshmen have scored all three goals for Walsh this season. Patrick O'Halloran scored one against Cedarville and Case Western Reserve, while Canaan Johnson netted a goal off the bench in the 2-2 tie.

Junior defender Nathan Kett was named Honorable Mention All-Conference in 2019 to lead the backline.

In goal, Ethan Burawa has made 14 saves for the Cavaliers, including 10 against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets.
