MALONE PIONEERS NOTES:

Statistics
The Pioneers have won three consecutive games on Monday, their last loss occurring on February 1, 2016. Malone has won five of their last six games, and all four G-MAC wins have come against teams who were higher in the conference standings than the Pioneers at the time.
In both wins last week, the key to victory was jumping out to an early advantage. Malone went on a 16-2 run in the first couple of minutes against Cedarville in a 99-87 victory. On Saturday, the Pioneers held a 27-point advantage in the first half, but ultimately allowed the Walsh Cavaliers to climb all the way back into it. A
Bryce Butler left-handed lay-up with 3.2 seconds remaining was the difference in the Malone win.
The offense has been clicking for Malone when the three-ball has been falling. In the first half of the last two games, the Pioneers have shot 10-for-20 from beyond the arc versus Cedarville and 6-for-12 at Walsh. Malone will look to replicate a shooting performance like that in tonight's game.
Bo Myers recorded his second career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds against Walsh. He is also coming off a career-high 25 points at home versus Cedarville. Butler recorded 17 points as well in the victory.
Other offensive contributors against the Cavaliers included
Marcus Ernst (13 points, nine rebounds),
Justin Miller (12 points),
Jaret Majestic (seven points),
Levi Seiler (six points) and
Simon Blair (four points).

Statistics
The Storm started the season with nine consecutive losses, but secured their lone win in 2020-21 thus far on Saturday against Trevecca Nazarene.
Lake Erie held the Trojans to just 20 first half points in the win. They held Trevecca's leading scorer in 7'2 Branden Newton to only four points in the game and defended the perimeter well, only allowing the Trojans to shoot 16.7% from three (4-for-24).
The Storm are winless at home in four attempts. Lake Erie averages 57.5 points per game on their home floor this season. In 10 games, Lake Erie scores 62.7 points per game on offense.
Jacob Plantz is the team's leading scorer at 13.8 points per game. The sophomore scored 21 points, including 5-of-6 from downtown, in the first matchup with the Pioneers a season ago, but was held scoreless in the Pioneer win later in the season.
Harrison Riggs and Caleb Piks have started all 10 games for the Storm this season. Riggs and Plantz make up the backcourt for Lake Erie and Piks is a 6'5 freshman forward. Jonny Manning and Jackson Burdyshaw join him in the front court.
