CANTON -- The Malone University men's basketball team opens up Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Lake Erie College.
Malone is looking for their fifth win in a row this season.

- Malone's offense has been virtually unstoppable early in the season. The Pioneers have topped 100 points scored in each of their last three games, and have not been held under 80 points in any contest this season. Malone enters Saturday's game leading the G-MAC in scoring at 94.3 points per game.
- Despite back-to-back quiet outings in the wins over Pitt-Greensburg and Pitt-Johnstown, Bo Myers is second in the conference in scoring at 22.0 points per game. Justin Miller (6th - 18.0 ppg), Bryce Butler (8th - 17.8 ppg), and Jaret Majestic (9th - 17.8 ppg) are also all inside the top-10.
- Majestic has been Malone's leading scorer in the last two games. Saturday against Pitt-Greensburg he scored 25 points on 7-14 shooting from the field. He followed that up with 31 points, including 8-13 from behind the three-point line, on Tuesday night against Pitt-Johnstown.
- In Tuesday's 102-84 win over UPJ, Marcus Ernst made his first start of the season. He finished with 17 points, and a team-high six rebounds.
- With 34 assists now on the season, Justin Miller continues to lead the G-MAC.

- The Storm enter Saturday's contest off of a 69-47 home loss to Walsh University on Thursday night. Leon Hughes led LEC with 13 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.
- Prior to dropping their G-MAC opener, the Storm had won four non-conference games in a row.
- Sophomore guard Jordan Burton leads the Storm in scoring this season averaging 13.3 points per game. Jonny Manning (11.7) and Caleb Picks (10.6) are also averaging double-digits.
- Manning is seventh in the league in field goal percentage (57.7%), and tenth in the G-MAC in rebounding, averaging 7.0 boards per game.
- Lake Erie, who was picked to finish ninth in the conference in the preseason coaches poll, is under the direction of sixth-year head coach Kyle Conley. Last year the Storm finished 4-14 overall.

The Pioneers will play their first home G-MAC game next week. Malone hosts Trevecca Nazarene University on Thursday, December 9. Tip-off from Osborne Hall is set for 7:30 p.m.
