CANTON -- The Malone University men's basketball team wraps up their current homestand on Tuesday night when the Pioneers host the University of Pittsburg at Johnstown Mountain Cats, a NCAA Division II member out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Malone is looking for their fourth win in a row this season, and their tenth consecutive win overall inside Osborne Hall.

- The Pioneers topped the century mark for the second consecutive game in their last time out, a 101-71 win over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Saturday. Jaret Majestic led Malone with 25 points on 7-14 shooting from the field, including 6-12 from behind the three-point line. The lefty has now scored in double-digits in four of the Pioneers' five games this season.
- After missing the first four games of the season due to injury, Marcus Ernst made his return to the court on Saturday night. He played a total of 16 minutes. The fifth-year player scored six points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out a pair of assists.
- Freshman Zach Geiser made his collegiate debut on Saturday, and scored the first points of his Malone career.
- The Pioneers, who still have not been held under 80 points in a single game this season, come into Tuesday's game leading the G-MAC in scoring at 92.8 points per game.
- Despite being held to just nine points against UPG, Bo Myers is still tied for the G-MAC lead in scoring at 25.0 points per game.
- On Saturday, Justin Miller added four more assists to his G-MAC leading total of 32.

- The Mountain Cats enter play with a 4-1 record overall, and off of a 74-63 win over Virginia State University on Sunday. UPJ's lone loss of the season came at the hands of No. 7 West Liberty University, 95-83 back on November 17. WLU ended Malone's historic run last season with a 94-89 win in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Junior John Paul Kromka led UPJ with a game-high 20 points in the win over VSU. Kromka has 997 career points and needs just three more to become the 32nd player in school history to reach 1,000
- The Mountain Cats are under the direction of head coach Bob Rukavina, who is coaching his 33rd season at Pitt-Johnstown.
- Kromka is the unquestioned leader for UPJ. He is a two-time All-PSAC West selection and two-time All-PSAC West Defensive Player of the Year award winner during his career.
- So far this season, Kromka is the team's leading scorer at 15.8 points per game, but there are five other players in the team's rotation who are all averaging over double-digits.
