CANTON -- The Malone University men's basketball team will continue their current homestand on Saturday night when the Pioneers host the University of Pittsburg at Greensburg Bobcats, a NCAA Division III member out of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
Malone is looking for their third win in a row this season.

- On Saturday night, the Pioneers won their second game in a row, an easy 101-62 victory over Mount Aloysisus College. Bo Myers came just one three-pointer away from tying the school record, and ultimately finished with a game-high 36 points and 11 rebounds to earn his second double-double of the season. Myers leads the conference at 29.0 points per game this season.
- Justin Miller finished with 16 points and a career-high 10 assists in Saturday's win. The redshirt senior currently leads with the G-MAC with 28 assists on the season.
- Tracey Sumner logged 15 minutes off the bench on Saturday, and went on to score a career-high 10 points in the victory.
- The Pioneers, who have not been held under 80 points in a single game this season, come into Saturday's game leading the G-MAC in scoring at 90.8 points per game.
- Jaret Majestic is having another strong start to the season for Malone. The graduate guard from Malvern, Ohio has scored in double-digits in three of the four games, and also leads the G-MAC with a 13.0 assist/turnover ratio.

- The Bobcats enter play with a 1-5 record on the season. They picked up their lone win in their last time out, an 83-70 win over Bethany College. Senior guard JoJo France scored a season-high 34 points for Pitt-Greensburg in the win.
- UPG, who finished just 2-5 last year in a season that was disrupted several times by the COVID-19 pandemic, is led by first-year head coach Chris Kilmchock. Most previously Kilmchock spent five seasons as an assistant at Penn State Behrend.
- Seniors JoJo France and Matt Johnson were both chosen as 'Players to Watch' preseason by the coaches in the Alleghany Mountain Collegiate Conference. As a team, the Bobcats were picked to finish third overall in their league.
- So far this year, France is leading UPG in scoring at 19.2 points per game. Johnson is the only other player scoring in double-digits (13.5).

The Pioneers have one more non-conference game before jumping into the G-MAC portion of the 2021-22 schedule. Malone will host Bluefield State College on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
