Canton, OH. -- On Saturday, the Malone University men's soccer team hosted the Ashland Eagles at Pioneer Park for their Homecoming matchup.
The Eagles (1-4-3), came out looking to foil the Pioneers' (0-10-0) first ever Homecoming game on Pioneer Park.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
The Eagles found the back of the net late in the first half and lead 1-0 at the halftime break.
Logan Smith made multiple crucial saves to keep it a close game at the half.
The Eagles came out swinging and finally scored another goal, despite the show
Logan Smith was putting on, in the 65th minute.
Malone answered quick with
Gavin Csiszar scoring his second goal of the season.
Malone tried to keep the pressure up which inevitably lead to them conceding a goal in the 75th mintue which pretty much put the game on ice.
The Eagles came away with a 3-1 win, their first of the season.
