Mackenna Curtis-Collins Named Indoor Track & Field All-American by USTFCCCA

Curtis-Collins was the lone Pioneer to qualify for the 2020 NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their 2020 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Because of the cancellation of the of the Indoor Track & Field DII National Championship in March, the USTFCCCA's Executive Committee decided that ALL student-athletes listed on the startlist for each event would be recognized as All-America.
 
Pioneer distance runner Mackenna Curtis-Collins, a redshirt sophomore from Mansfield, Ohio and Lexington High School, was the lone Malone University athlete to qualify for this year's national meet.
 
Curtis-Collins ran a personal-best 9:42.23 in the indoor 3,000 meters at the GVSU Big Meet in February. Her national-qualifying time in the event was the 19th-fastest in DII this past season and second-fastest in Malone history.
 
In 2019, Curtis-Collins was a DII Indoor All-American as part of Malone's Distance Medley Relay Team.
