The Malone University baseball team suffered a 10-1 loss to Rollins College on the first day of "Baseball Week" hosted by Rollins at Alfond Stadium in Winter Park, Florida. The Pioneers drop to 5-2 on the season with Thursday's decision while Rollins improves to 10-7.

After spotting the Tars two runs in the bottom of the second, Malone scored its only run of the game in the top of the fourth.
Turner Hill led off the inning with a single, advanced to third on a single by
Nate Cobb, and then came in to score on an RBI groundout by
Joe Crank.

Rollins plated five runs in the bottom of the fourth, another in the sixth, and two more in the eighth to complete the 10-1 victory.

Nate Cobb finished with two hits and a stolen base to lead the offense.
Jordan Hite,
Clay Wisner, and
Trey Davis each added singles.
Clyde Yoder (1-2) took the loss, giving up eight runs in 4.1 innings. Sophomore
Danny Miller tossed two scoreless innings of relief and recorded his first two collegiate strikeouts.
