The Malone University volleyball team will play its final two home matches of the 2019 season this weekend when it hosts Ohio Valley University on Friday, November 1st and Alderson Broaddus University this Saturday, November 2nd. Saturday will also serve as Senior Day for five Pioneers:

With just six matches remaining in the season, Malone faces an uphill climb to earn a postseason berth. The Pioneers are currently in ninth place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) standings and will need two victories this weekend to remain viable.

Malone Notes
- Senior Faith Lau enters the weekend needing just 10 digs to reach 1,000 for her career. She is also nearing 1,000 career kills and could become the first Pioneer since 2014 to achieve the feat in both statistics.
- Senior libero Sydney Black, who reached 1,000 career digs earlier this season, leads the G-MAC and ranks second in the Midwest Region with 443 total digs this season.
- Senior middle hitter Hannah Eliason, who returned to the starting lineup in a loss at Walsh on Tuesday, enters the weekend with 731 career kills and 316 total blocks. She recently climbed into top-10 in Malone history in career blocks and is now third overall in the history of the G-MAC.
- First-year Pioneer Kayla Jarosz, who ranks second among G-MAC freshmen in kills per set, leads the Pioneers in kills (2.68) and hitting percentage (.238).
- Junior setters Elizabeth Selleny (5.27) and Abbie Swaino (4.43) lead the team in assists per set.
- Malone is a combined 11-0 against Alderson Broaddus (6-0) and Ohio Valley (5-0) since joining the G-MAC in 2016.

- The Fighting Scots, who have dropped four of their last five matches, are led by outside hitter Yolaine Lopez (3.18 kills per set) and libero Kalyn Makimoto (5.20 digs per set).
Alderson Broaddus Notes
- The Battlers, who play at Walsh Friday before visiting Malone Saturday, come to Ohio winners of their last two matches. AB is led by Ashlyn McDonald (3.37) and Kelsey Singhas (2.97), both of whom rank among the top-10 in the G-MAC in kills per set.
