Record: 6-1-0 (3-1-0)

The Pioneers are off to the second-best start to a season in program history. All the way back in 2001, the team won their first seven matches. Last week, Malone shutout both Lake Erie 3-0 and Ursuline 1-0 to pick up a pair of conference wins. Consistency throughout the long season will be key here in the month of October if the Pioneers want to keep pace with the front runners of the G-MAC as they position themselves for the conference tournament.

As a team, Malone is third in the G-MAC in shots with 128 and second in the conference in goals allowed at .57 per match played. The Pioneers are outshooting opponents 128-68.

Danielle Lung is second in the conference with seven goals on the season. Lung and Keeley Malley both have two game-winning goals in 2019, including Malley's goal in a 1-0 win over Ursuline in the Pioneers' last game.

Senior Kirsten Hilty has also chipped in with three goals on the season and registered an assist in the first bout versus Alderson Broaddus.

Lindsey Soltisz was named Malone Athlete of the Week for her efforts on the defensive line in two shutouts this past week. She is joined in the backfield by Natalie Martorana as the only two women to have played every minute on the field this season.

Goalkeeper Haleigh Seman made a total of seven saves in last week's wins. In the conference, Seman is second in goals against average with a miniscule .486 goals allowed per match.
